Ask for Bobby Hamilton and you won't be steered wrong. He isn't pushy like other dealers may be; he's knowledgable, easy to talk to, and very seemingly a hard worker. He deserves to be everyone's boss at this office, easily. Of the three car salesmen I have worked with he is at the top with regards to his character. The facility is whatever and although the cars may not be high end with all the bells and whistles their price is on point if you can get past the idea of owning a rental car. He didn't push Hertz's agenda (or any car dealership's agenda) of extracting as much money from you as possible and he didn't care which car you bought seeing that the employees there do not get commission. He went above and beyond and replaced the scratched rim on my car and scraped the glue from the sticker on the windows.
My purchase from Bobby at Hertz couldn't have gone better! Not only is the man way overqualified for his job (ask him a bit about what he used to do).. he was friendly, down to earth and I could tell he cared about me as a customer. So much so that he was going to initially turn me away rather than try to give me a bad deal. Imagine that.. a car salesman that doesn't want to give you a sour deal. And if that weren't enough he even took on the role of a father figure to me ..giving me some friendly advice in regards to my future. Advice I really needed to hear. But in a respectful, friendly way. Anyhow couldn't be happier with my new car! Thanks again Bobby!!

This was my first experience buying a car on my own. The last car I got was obtained for me (used) by family members over 10 years ago, so it was time for something newer. I looked online and found several dealers, but Hertz (Clearwater) was the closest place that had a good reputation. I stopped in to look at some cars and the salesperson working was "Bob" Hamilton. His friendly, chatty, and candid nature made the initial examination process less-stressful, and he gave many tips based on his own personal experiences and observations, and suggested some cars that were dependable and would suit my needs. I did not feel like he was a pushy salesman or that he was going to try to sell me something I did not want; on the contrary, he encouraged me to look around, test drive a car, take it in for an inspection, etc. and I visited the location several times to do these things. I believe I found a car that fit my needs in a reasonable price range, and that the deal I got was good. Bob even went so far as to try to make up for the duplicitous actions of an employee at a different Hertz dealer. I definitely recommend Hertz in Clearwater if you are purchasing a vehicle, especially if it is the first time doing so on your own; Bob is a caring individual and empathizes with young people who are trying to navigate the sometimes complicated car-buying process. 5 stars for Hertz!
With my daughter going away to college soon, I felt it was necessary to get her into a more reliable vehicle. Found this dealership on Cars.com and was drawn by the price, vehicle age and mileage. Was impressed with the selection available. Bobby Hamilton, our sales associate, made this one of the least stressful car purchases I have ever made. No pressure whatsoever and he was very upfront about everything. Will definitely be back when am in need of another car.
