McDonald Ford
I was looking for a used pickup truck McDonald Ford because they had a really good deal on one .Well my salesman was the sales manager John Gottschalker. I talked to him For a couple days about a used truck. I asked him If he did a 127 point inspection on the vehicle he said yes also said there was one little spot of rust on the door there was rust all over the wheel wells and plenty on the bottom of the door too. He said the inspection was clean and when I drove 2 hours to view the vehicle it hit needed tie rods and a front oil seal on the engine. When I asked him why he didn't tell me this he said he couldn't find the inspection report. When he told me about the rust said he was standing next to the vehicle and told me all about the rust spot on the car. He also said there was nothing he could do about fixing the vehicle which also had two broken tail lights which should be illegal. He also told me that the truck was detailed the day before and the interior smells like smoke was filthy burn holes in the seat just nasty. He did put $20 in my gas tank he said he felt bad. So you decide whether or not you want to buy a vehicle from this dealership have a good day
Our motorhome developed a shimmy and we were 1500 miles from home (and it was a Saturday). These guys got us into the shop, found the problem, fixed it, didn't gouge us because we were from far away (actually cut us a deal) and got us back on the road. We had their full attention while we were there and they were the most gracious hosts. I can't say enough nice things - the treatment I got was off the chart!
We were on a motor home trip in September and developed a shimmy with 1500 miles to go. It was a Saturday when I stopped here. I got super treatment. They realized I couldn't continue until the problem was analyzed to ensure my safety. They offered me a place to park if the problem couldn't be fixed that day and assured I would be safe as they would let the police know I was there and have them check on me during the night. They cleared a hoist immediately and set about assessing the situation. Inspection revealed nothing broken or in need of repair in the front end. They offered to balance all wheels and do a rotation for an impossibly low $20. The problem was found in the rear tires - both belts were broken. They gave me a quote and set about replacing the tires - then settled up for less than the quote. We were on our way in no time and the ride was sooooo smooth. Our treatment couldn't have been better - when you're on the road far from home you expect to get ripped as we had a week earlier at Ford in Espanola, ON where we paid $70 for a tail pipe hanger and were delayed 2 hours - lots of BS just keeping us in the shop so the price could be inflated. These guys know how to treat the travelling public! (Using Minot zip but we're from Saskatchewan)
Have been dealing with the Dealership for quite some time as a corporate customer and every time the bills are high and the service is poor. Finally went to a local mechanic for a second opinion and found out that hundreds of dollars of work paid for had not been done and contributed to a complete diesel engine failure, which had to be replaced at $$$$.Won't ever go back to these guys, don't trust them and work subpar.
