May 2015 was when I first came in to look at pre-owned Maximas. The salesperson did not help me find what I wanted, instead tried to sell me an Altima. I was called incessantly for weeks. I bought a Maxima, exactly as I planned, on May 13th at Sutherlin Nissan. You lost that sale. I then took my sister to your dealership, as a cash buyer. She looked at an Altima. Your amazing staff walked out, told her the price was on the window, and that was the end of it, and said come get me if you want it. We went directly to Athens Ford and purchased a Ford Focus. Paid in full on the spot. That's 2 sales lost.I still used Nissan of Athens for my service needs. In December 2015, I had my oil changed to synthetic. About 2 weeks ago, I began getting calls, emails, and texts offering me a "customer appreciation" 5 buck oil change. This, after the first few texts, became a free oil change expiring August 20th. This directly coincided with my mileage requiring an oil change. My assumption was that they were using my service records to initiate this contact "thanking" me for being a customer. I scheduled the appointment via text with Nicole. I show up to be told that they are very sorry, but the text didn't apply to synthetic oil changes. I calmly explained that I'd taken an hour off work and driven there based on Nicole's correspondence. Melissa then approaches my car, passenger window rolled down, saying she made her text me that many times until I replied and that she made a mistake. Further saying that she should have put a disclaimer on the texts, and would moving forward. All the while, a lady standing behind gawking at me. It was a very unpleasant exchange. I was then offered the oil change at $45. I, again, pointed out that I'd just lost an hour of work due to their barrage of messages and explained as I have here why I wouldn't have questioned or called to check if it applied to synthetic oil changes. That was the advise given, call to check. Really!?!As a customer, who has used your service department for 3+ years, I've never had an issue. I've never had a text like this, or been messaged over and over. No way would I have ever expected this to happen. I should add that I always take the time to do the survey after. I get the text reminder, the email and video message, and the overall begging to complete it with perfect scores--and I do. I called to make a complaint and was told no sales manager was available, but they'd promise to call me back the same day. No call. I called again and spoke to the "customer service Manager" who promised to look into it and get back to me. That didn't happen either. Finally, I called again today, only to be told that the managers were either on vacation or not there on Fridays. While this has all been great fun, I'll be making future service appointments elsewhere. I cannot believe that a local dealership cares so little about losing customers. I'll leave you with this--I was there to have an oil change, a fuse replaced, a light assembly looked at, tires rotated, and rotors checked-so there was money to be made. I'm disgusted by the lack of availability of managers to handle problems that shouldn't be problems in the first place!

They are crooks they try to sell you something that you don't need. They also mark up the prices to high. You tell them you do not want it done and then they start coming off the price that was quoted.

I've waited 5 months to write a review because I wanted it to be thoughtful and factual, not emotional. At every step of the process, it seems like the "conventional car wisdom" was thrown at me rather than simply listening to what I said. For example, within the first minute, I was asked what my budget was. No problem, except I had stated explicitly which car(with stock number) I was there to look at. As I'm getting into the car to test drive it, I'm asked how my credit is. No problem, except the assumption was that I'm financing; I wasn't. And when I said I wouldn't need credit, the smarmy sales guy said, "Oh, we'll just assume you have perfect credit." Really? I get the "hard sell" mode when you say you are not buying today, only driving. But some people really are comparing your car to another, as I was. And some of us aren't desperate; we can actually think about our major purchases before we jump in, which may be why we can write a check for the car. I bought elsewhere simply on my interaction with the person selling the car. He was courteous, thoughtful, polite, and listened to what I said rather than recite his rote sales process questions. By the way, I was never followed up on, either, which simply means this dealership is not interested in a long term relationship but a quick, one-off sale.

We recently purchased a Rogue from Nissan of Athens. Our experience was hassle free from the moment we stepped on the lot. Chris Rozier was professional and very helpful in getting us what we wanted in a car as well as a price. Past experiences with other dealerships have left us sitting for hours waiting on paperwork to be complete until the time we are out the door with the keys. We were very happy with our purchase and the overall experience.

Great Experience!

Chris bent over backwards to find just the vehicle I was looking for. They were all very helpful and the whole experience was stress free. I highly recommend them.

Went to nissan of athens to purchase a versa for my wife with what i thought was pre approved financing from a company i have already been dealing with. Ended up deciding to take a new sentra instead. Wife loves the car. Was told my pre approval was denied at purchase time because i am self employed. They got financing for me. I signed the paper work we left with the new car. The next day, THE VERY NEXT DAY, the original finance company who had pre approved me called to ask when i was going to buy my new car. Long story short, nissan of athens had never talked or submitted my loan to them .they already new i was self employed and the rate they would have given.me was 2 points less. Nissan of athens also tacked on this supposed warrenty for 3k that barely went over what the factory waranty covers. It only took a 5 minute phone call with Nissan of North America and a check for 3k was on its way to my finance company. Live and learn. Watch out for these crooks. Wont even take my car there for service now. Love the car but despise the crooks at nissan of athens.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Nissan of Athens, I blame this all on an employee named Dexter who works there. I wanted to buy my wife a certified pre-owned Rogue and I talked to Dexter multiple times over the phone about it. When I came to look at the car it wasn't what I expected, the interior and exterior were dirty and the car really wasn't what we had in mind. Dexter then tried to pull some con-game on me once I told him I was leaving, it saw through his crap and left. Nice job Nissan of Athens, thanks for wasting me and my wife's time. Also thank you so much for your extraordinary customer service. I'm sure everyone is raving about your guys. Ha, these people are a joke. Management really needs to take a look at this Dexter guy, he is a really slimy character.

Trust me I say that this place is a joke. After corresponding with a salesperson and confirming a time to look at vehicle my family and I drove for an hour and a half to the dealership. Upon arrival of the dealership we were informed that the vehicle had been sold that morning. The disturbing thing is we were assured the vehicle was still for sale at 3 pm. They then had the nerve to inform me I should have come earlier

This is the best Service I have received at any Nissan...

This is the best Service I have received at any Nissan Dealership. I drive over an hour and 20 minutes to Athens. Booker and histeam always go out of there way to give me the "warm and Fuzzy". I will buy my next Maxima from Athens.
