This is my first review ever but I felt compelled to talk about my experience with this dealership particularly in view of the negative perception many have about used car dealers. In May of 2016 I bought a pre-owned vehicle with high mileage and certain mechanical issues. Early on I had repairs made in an effort to troubleshoot and resolve those issues. However, as time passed it became evident that the problem I had was an engine problem. Due to this misunderstanding at the time of purchase I went back to the dealership to seek relief and plead my case. I talked with 3 managers at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep. Each of these individuals treated me with respect, patience, and understanding. At no time was I put on the defensive. Here is what Rick Balkema, the Used Car Manager, offered to do for me. I could either (1) return the vehicle and they would refund me the purchase price OR (2) they would fix the engine for me and absorb the bulk of the expense. I was BLOWN AWAY! Here's why. First of all, I bought this car AS IS and we all know what that means. They weren't obligated to do anything for me. Secondly, this car is TEN YEARS OLD! Well, I decided to go ahead and let them do the repairs. Rick was there for me every step of the way. I was given a loaner car (I live 45 miles away) and Tom Williams in the service department had the work done and the car ready to go for me the very next day (Saturday).Now, I'd like to emphasis a couple of things. First, it was made abundantly clear to me in my dealings with all concerned that this is a dealership of integrity that truly wants to make things right with their customers. They easily could have dismissed my concerns as not being worth the time and effort to address. After all, the vehicle in question has a low market value. Secondly, I want to point out that I am relatively new to the state of Michigan (2013) and have no ties to any people at the dealership and have no reason to be biased in this review. I just wish I had the superlatives to better express my appreciation for the way they do business at this dealership! Mr Campeau, Mr. Balkema, Mr. Williams and the manager in the service department as well as everyone that I came in contact with were friendly, professional and sincere in doing what they could to meet my needs as a customer. They will do the same for you.
