An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2002-2005 Lexus SC and Toyota Sequoia, 2003-2005 Toyota Corolla and Tundra, and 2003-2007 Pontiac Vibe vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation.

I went to look/buy a vehicle from this dealer. Got the bait and switch from them and after a few minutes looking at what was ACTUALLY in stock I realized that every vehicle I looked at had undercoating. After a few minutes of asking unanswered questions I came to the realization that these cars were all shipped down from Alberta and the undercoating was covering up all the corrosion. These cars and trucks were dressed up to look nice and they did a great job with that, but when you're running 35 inch tires on non lifted or leveled trucks and you're OK with things rubbing real bad, it shows that you really care more about the vehicles looking pretty as opposed to running well. Either take a mechanic with you, or make sure you do serious research, because these guys are happy to sell you a xxxxx. that's shiny.
