In a crash, the seat-backs for the front seats may break, increasing the risk of injury to the occupants.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. A bracket used in the driver or front passenger seat-back recliner mechanism may have been incorrectly welded to the seat-back frame, as a result, in the event of a crash, the head-restraints may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 202a, "Head Restraints."

I called and asked to speak with a salesperson about the '82 Corvette advertised and I was transferred to a salesman, Jim and I asked him questions about the '82 Vette that was advertised and he told me the paint and decals were in excellent condition. I asked about the air, and he said that it was blowing cold air. He said "everything worked on the car" I called three different times inquiring prior to driving the 400 miles round trip. I was given a cash price by phone. In checking the vin, I realized I had previously owned the car. I drove to the dealership with the intention of buying the vehicle. I was shocked when I inspected the car. The photos did not show that the nose of the vehicle had been damaged and the pin striping peeling off the damaged area; evidently this was damaged after photos were made). The right door would not open at all (salesman said he did not know what happened as it opened the day before). They tried to open the door with the auto lock, the door button and the key--still would not open. All the decals would have needed replacing and the car needed paint. The sales person was very apologetic. He asked if I would consider buying the car if they would repair the front nose damage and repair the passenger door so it would open as that could create a safety feature as in an emergency the passenger door would not open. I told him yes, and he told me to call the following day. He told me they had a person who came to their lot that did minor repairs and the front end and pin striping could be fixed. When I called he told me the owner said he would not do any of the repairs as he had given me a good price when I called; however, he did not tell me he was reducing the price of the vehicle to allow for repairs as I was told the vehicle was in "excellent condition". I was very disappointed to say the least as I had been mislead in the description of the vehicle. Thank you.
