A failure of the front air bags or seat belt pretensioners to deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment increases the risk of injury to the driver and front passenger.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015-2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, 3500 HD, Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV vehicles and 2014-2017 Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado 1500, Trax, Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicle, GMC Sierra 1500, Buick Encore, and 2014-2016 Buick Lacrosse, Chevrolet Spark EV and SS vehicles. In the affected vehicles, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test. During this test, deployment of the frontal air bags and the seat belt pretensioners would not occur in the event of a crash.

I called ahead of time before I drove almost an hour to this dealership. I called and spoke with a Jason Valdez and asked about 2 different cars that I wanted to look at and Jason assured me that they were both still available. So my girlfriend and I drove to Crest Nissan and when we meet with Jason, he tells me that one of the cars I was wanting to look at already sold and that he was having a hard time locating the other car. After about 30 minutes of waiting, Jason came back and told me the 2nd car had also been sold, but that he could show me other cars. I told him that I was told that those cars were still here, I drove almost an hour to get here and that it would have been nice to have been called beforehand. Jason then told me not to leave because he needed to talk to his manager. As we were walking out getting into my car to leave, Jason proceeds to come running out with his hands in the air trying to stop us....Really? I just drove off. This is the second Nissan dealership to do this to me and there will not be a third. To this day, I still get phone calls from Jason trying to sell me a car, but I just let them go to voice mail. Very annoying.
