Our 07 Xterra was showing a Service Engine Soon Light and running a little rough. We brought it to the dealership to be checked out on 6/13/16.Dealer calls us and informs us its a Cylinder Misfire PO300, they do not know which cylinder is misfiring and want to replace all coils and spark plugs for $1500.Told them to not do the work and we would pick up. Picked up the car from them, purchased the parts I needed online for around $80 total. Did the work with a buddy, took about an hour. Checked car with code scanner he had, it showed PO300, but also PO301, Cylinder 1 Misfire. Dealer lied to us as they said they were unable to determine which coil was going bad and wanted to replace them all instead. Also charged me $120 for "Diagnostic Services" which Advance Auto would of scanned my computer to see which code it was throwing for free. $120 to simply hook a computer to my car, see the codes it was throwing, then omit the one important code, PO301 to the customer to jack up your service cost. Will never use this dealership again for service or sales. Will be informing Nissan of this dealerships shady service practices.
