Without a crash pad, rear seat passengers would have an increased risk of injury in the event of a side impact crash.
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2020 MINI Hardtop 2-Door Cooper, Cooper S, and JCW vehicles. The rear side trim panels may have been assembled without a crash pad. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 214, "Side Impact Protection."

After a positive online exchange with Joshua Ross we visited Crown Mini to see a used (non-Mini) vehicle. We ended up not being interested in the vehicle but very pleased to work with rep Josh Ross. He was friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy in the slightest. We've interacted with multiple dealerships and sales people over the past few weeks and have run across all types of people, many of whom fostered no trust. Josh was just the opposite. He was genuinely interested in helping us and listened to what we said. We later found out that this is a non-commission dealership...and it shows. Looking for a used car has left us a little frustrated and very distrustful. Josh and Crown Mini were a refreshing departure for the typical car shopping experience.
