Customer Service: 1 Quality Of Repair: 4 Overall Facilities: 4

Bruce Foote advertises heavily on local radio as a dealer that goes above and beyond with customer service. When we moved to the area over a year ago, we decided to take our Chevrolet Trailblazer there for all service to establish a positive relationship with the local dealer. We were never impressed with the service or felt like it was above and beyond, but we continued to take it there because they were close and convenient. We took our 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer to Bruce Foote Chevrolet for a warranty repair of the exhaust manifold on July 22, 2013. Once the service department was able to formally diagnose the problem as a cracked manifold, they advised us that it would take about a week to finish the work. I asked about continuing to drive the vehicle until they were ready to work on it, but they advised against it for fear of additional damage. I explained that my wife was pregnant with her due date very near, and that was our vehicle we had prepared to take to the hospital. On July 26, I called for an update on the vehicle. At that time, I was told they planned to start working on it on July 29. I had not heard anything from them by July 31, and called on the afternoon of July 31 to check on the status. They still had not even begun work on the Trailblazer, and did not even have an estimate of when they might start working on it. I requested an update on August 1 as to when they would be able to start work. On August 1, I was updated that they started work that morning and it would be done that evening or the next day. They completed the work on August 1. When we picked it up, a light-hearted comment was made about how long it took to get it done, and the service manager, Robert Eldridge, promptly responded that we didnt need to bring our vehicle back to Bruce Foote for service again. The length of time it took to get the repair done was frustrating, but the unprofessional snide comment the service manager made was too much coupled with the length of time it took to get the vehicle repaired. I am completely unsatisfied with Bruce Foote Chevrolet, and certainly dont intend to take a vehicle back there again. I suspect the satisfied customers in their radio ads are either paid, or friends and family of the owner. Our experience has certainly not been anywhere near those described in their radio ads.
