I have been going to Toyota since I brought my Camry 2011. Service has been acceptable 90% of the time. However, it appears that a "rotten egg" can always be in the mix. I took my car in because the tire pressure light came on in august and again last week. First time they did nothing but told me I needed new tires. I knew that was not the case. They turned the light off, well it came on again last Monday, because they did nothing but turn it off last time I drove over 80 miles to work everyday M thur Th and took the car in on Friday. Danny's big effort on my behalf was to try to prove to me that he was the expert(AFTER ALL HE HAD 35 YEARS IN THE BUSINESS) and I was a fool. He said that the tire tread had nothing to do with the air pressure light. I told him last time I was in that their solution was to buy new tires. He said their was no connection between low tread and buying new tires. He kept telling me that the tire pressure light comes on and off all the time. I said why in the first 87,000 miles that did not happen, he said simply that it did. He asked me if I knew what the gauge looked like. Well that was why I was in the service dept. I explained to him that it was red and looked like and (!) and he told me that it was not red, that it was amber. I could not believe anyone could be so petty. I was very upset at the way he was talking to me, so I said stop write it up and lets see if we can see why the air pressure light is staying on. He got back to me, and told me I needed to replace my tires all of them for $850, yet previously he told me the air pressure gauge was not related to the thread on the tires. However now he wanted to sale be new very expensive tires, but had no solution for the tire air pressure gunge staying light. I knew at this point that he was a very arrogant and nasty person was trying to cheat me and was being very devious. I went to a couple of folks at Toyota who were in management who agreed with me that he was inappropriate. Also I went to Costco and asked their advice, they asked the age of the car and said the air pressure gauge battery was probably getting low in one of the tires and needed to be checked. sure enough the tire with the low air pressure had a low battery. The service worker even showed me a diagram and explained in detail. What an enlightment, someone could tell me why my air pressure light was coming on and staying on. They said my tires were not in exceptional need of changing, that I could probably get another 10,000 miles safety out of the back, but the front should be changed in 5,000 miles, but when I asked for the top of the line tires ,their quote was $250 less than Toyota. It was the same brand that Toyota was offering. Again, what a mess. I brought the new tires because I have lots of obligations and could not be coming back and forth. I have liked a lot about Toyota in Claremont, yes I would go back, but I would not get anywhere near this Dan Serrato. He is not a nice person. He just wants to proof that he is right, now solve the questions problems or answer the questions appropriate. Honestly I think that man should be written-up and sent to customer service training. Love my camry and Peter the sales person who sold it to me. So, yes I would still go back.
