Customer Service: 1 Friendliness: 1 Overall Experience: 1

May 2015 was when I first came in to look at pre-owned Maximas. The salesperson did not help me find what I wanted, instead tried to sell me an Altima. I was called incessantly for weeks. I bought a Maxima, exactly as I planned, on May 13th at Sutherlin Nissan. You lost that sale. I then took my sister to your dealership, as a cash buyer. She looked at an Altima. Your amazing staff walked out, told her the price was on the window, and that was the end of it, and said come get me if you want it. We went directly to Athens Ford and purchased a Ford Focus. Paid in full on the spot. That's 2 sales lost.I still used Nissan of Athens for my service needs. In December 2015, I had my oil changed to synthetic. About 2 weeks ago, I began getting calls, emails, and texts offering me a "customer appreciation" 5 buck oil change. This, after the first few texts, became a free oil change expiring August 20th. This directly coincided with my mileage requiring an oil change. My assumption was that they were using my service records to initiate this contact "thanking" me for being a customer. I scheduled the appointment via text with Nicole. I show up to be told that they are very sorry, but the text didn't apply to synthetic oil changes. I calmly explained that I'd taken an hour off work and driven there based on Nicole's correspondence. Melissa then approaches my car, passenger window rolled down, saying she made her text me that many times until I replied and that she made a mistake. Further saying that she should have put a disclaimer on the texts, and would moving forward. All the while, a lady standing behind gawking at me. It was a very unpleasant exchange. I was then offered the oil change at $45. I, again, pointed out that I'd just lost an hour of work due to their barrage of messages and explained as I have here why I wouldn't have questioned or called to check if it applied to synthetic oil changes. That was the advise given, call to check. Really!?!As a customer, who has used your service department for 3+ years, I've never had an issue. I've never had a text like this, or been messaged over and over. No way would I have ever expected this to happen. I should add that I always take the time to do the survey after. I get the text reminder, the email and video message, and the overall begging to complete it with perfect scores--and I do. I called to make a complaint and was told no sales manager was available, but they'd promise to call me back the same day. No call. I called again and spoke to the "customer service Manager" who promised to look into it and get back to me. That didn't happen either. Finally, I called again today, only to be told that the managers were either on vacation or not there on Fridays. While this has all been great fun, I'll be making future service appointments elsewhere. I cannot believe that a local dealership cares so little about losing customers. I'll leave you with this--I was there to have an oil change, a fuse replaced, a light assembly looked at, tires rotated, and rotors checked-so there was money to be made. I'm disgusted by the lack of availability of managers to handle problems that shouldn't be problems in the first place!
